Draft @ BCTC, Ommegang Brewery. August, 8, 2015. Aroma is mild citrus with moderate herbal hops. Kind of green, leafy greens. coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - AUG 27, 2012
Tropical fruit and grapefruit upfront with a medium yeasty body. Good malt back to help subdue the hops bitterness. The balance is pretty good for a “Belgian” IPA. This is pretty drinkable for a style that can be very easily screwed up.
Growler hand delivered by the Growler delivery Gnome from Athens, NY. Australian hops and Belgian yeast will yield one hell of a funny accent if you think of it...."G’day mate...lets go ride our bicycles to the monastery flat out like a lizard drinkin’." Bright glowing copper with loose drippy wavy lacing. Strong central Belgian yeast backbone on a hefty malt base. My cat seems to be indifferent to it....(there are times when he gets excited and drinks some beer). The yeast twang and the biting hops set this apart from the gaggle if IPA that are available...even more so that it is a Mad Hutch creation. Thanks again to the growler delivery gnome! j12601 (13027) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 8, 2012
Pouring at BCTC. They had this on cask dry hopped with Topaz. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Musk and citrus on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet malt with spicy citrus and lemon. Crisp sweet malt, toast, long malt and pungent grapefruit.
