Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, with lots of citrus, pine, and grassy notes to it
Appearance: It pours a clearish amber-red color with a fairly small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is fairly hoppy as well, light malty sweetness, heavier hoppy presence
Palate: The body is medium (plus), average carbonation, slightly creamy, with a dryish finish
It is always good to try another small brewery, which I assume this is, as I can’t recall trying anything from them previously. Anyway, this was a solid IPA for sure, a nice effort at the style, with a crisp and dry feel to it.
Draft at Blind Tiger, NYC. Clear gold-browns small tan head. Crisp soapy-earth hops. Clean bitter, crisp beer. Amber honey bite. Quite nice. sonnycheeba (6214) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Tap at brewery. Pours mostly clear amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma is floral and grassy notes, citrus fruit, cereal and cookie malts, and light toast. Flavor is dry malts forward quickly followed by floral hop and grapefruit bitterness with faint caramel notes underneath; dry finish with a touch of lingering bitterness. Medium body and low carbonation. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 29, 2012
In short: A clean tasty pale IPA with typical citrusy, piney and grassy hops. Very good.snoworsummer (5911) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 23, 2013
How: Tap at Tap-NY 2012
The look: Clear golden-blond body, medium off-white head with good rating
In long: Nose is very citrusy (fresh grapefruits upfront but also other fresh citrus fruits) and green pine needles. Taste has a typical solid blond IPA malt backbone, clean and crisp with slightly toasted honeyed cereals. Well malted but still balanced towards the hops which feel more grassy in mouth on top of their citrusy and piney character noticeable in the aroma. Grassy spiciness in the after-taste. Good beer. And for once people when people were talking about the outrage at a beer festival it didn,t ‘necessarily’ involves me and my lack of pants.
Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy copper gold with a thin beige head. Tastes very hoppy, dry, spiced, like grapefruit and pine. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells like sweet orange, pine, and musk.
