Cask conditioned gravity dispense Merton Summer BF 2010. A yellow gold coloured beer with whitish bubbles for a head. This is a soft delicate floral beer which is pleasant and easy drinking. I think the hop is really nice. There’s a hint of lime too. Good length and really enjoyable.

Cask, gravity at Merton Summer Beer Festival 16-07-10 I also had this a couple of weeks ago at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks. When I had this at the Hop Pole I was distinctly underwhelmed by it but in fairness it was during a very hot spell and this was served a little warm. Poured pale gold with nice white head. Nicely bitter with some streaky citrus, quite simple and whilst not the best from Crouch Vale perfectly enjoyable and tasty enough. A8 A3 T7 P3 Ov15 3.3

Cask conditioned at Merton Summer Beer Fest ’10. Clear pale gold with white head. Light, slightly sweetish, lemony lagery hop character, easy drinking, golden. Lovely name for a hop and a beer, makes me feel all Shakspearian.

A Mes rate. Gravity at Merton Beer Festival.
Clean gold with a very short lived white head. Superb Crouch Vale single hop stuff. Just the right levels of bitter and chalky cask character. Good grass and citrus, faint floral notes and a really good dry bitter finish. Straight forward but very good.

A hoppy; sessionable, golden ale. Grapefruit body; low carbantion, good lacing, great balance, very good bitterness and also incredibly oily. Ace spring beer from Crouch Vale. Chelmsford Summer Beer Festival 2010. Well spotted by Chris O.
