A lovely golden amber colour with a good finger of head that sat like frosty snow on top of the beer. Aromas of spruce and green herbaceous grasses. There is no shortage of hop there. This is the first thought when tasting. Just a massive hit of hops: tart, bitter, bitter, bitter and bitter. Orange peel, astringent pith, mango, coffee grinds and other odd fruitiness. This tastes like taking a bite out of a green pine cone. Australian hops you say? Seems very much like a Pacific NW IPA. A triumph. hawthorne00 (3956) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle, 10C. Clear orangish gold with a modest white head. Aroma of passionfruit, apricot, oranges and melons, light biscuit. Creamy mouthfeel. Lots of tropical fruit and kumquats in the taste, a little biscuit, moderate bitterness in a dryish finish.
