Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of hops and a lighter touch of over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and hops. Travlr (25250) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Draft at Brew Craft. Clear yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of peppery straw and biscuit. Taste is similar. Decent. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2008
(Bottle 33 cl) Clear golden with a small, off-white head. Very fresh and flowery hop aroma. Medium body with a solid and lightly sweet malt base with a lovely floral hoppiness in the finish that also contains a solid bitterness. Another lovely NZ micro pilsener. 050208 Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 9, 2013
Floral nz hops -rambutan and melon as well. Slightly doughy pale malt accent. Light and dry. Malts are understated but show a bit in the finish. Hops are slightly fruity, slightly woody. Nice. jercraigs (10591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 13, 2016
2016-05-10. Crisp pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of grassy straw and pale malt. Flavour is surprisingly bitter, grassy hops, more alcohol prominence than I’d expect given the abv. Average to light bodied palate, lots of carbonation. 6-7/3/6+/3/13+ On tap at Brew, Rotorua, NZ.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thick dense white head that leaves early lace. Interesting floral and tropical fruit (mango) hop aroma. Clean pale malts with lots of aromatic hops, tropical fruit, goose berries, and capsicum. Very bitter finish. Similar hop profile as their APA, but I found the hops married better to the toasty toffee malts of the APA. Still, a nice brew. blipp (9373) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 9, 2015
Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Spicy hops, mild bitterness, and a soft grainy base. Good stuff. 3fourths (9349) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 27, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2014 A combination of foul-smelling Matueka and Riwaka hops with abrasive malt roughness and fizzy carbonation, it’s difficult enough to smell let along drink. But it’s foul because of the hops, not because of any fault or flaw... it’s this vegetable root bubble gum and diesel fuel quality that I can’t wrap my head around. These Matueka hops are sexy and the American drinkers are reportedly falling in love, but it’s the same foulness found in Citra and Mosaic that is an instant turn off for me. Sharply acidic with underlying syrupiness, the pale malt has an over-kilned / burnt grain quality. Dry, bitter, medium to light body, very un-Pilsner like and a shame that these hops are being featured over the more elegant and nuanced variants like Pacifica and Wakatu. It’s rare that I give a 4 for aroma without any overt flaws, but these hops are so off-putting and foul-smelling that I have to.

330ml bottle. Pours a clean looking orange colour with a puffy cloud like head of white foam. Malty orange aroma that is refreshing and clean. Full crisp flavour with some citrus flavours along with some honey. Light and airy and pleasant to drink. Clean on the palate and this is a very good pilsener and another good brew from Croucher.
