UPDATED: MAR 23, 2014 On tap @ Brew Craft Beer Pub, Rotorua. Also bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has grapefruit/citrus, hints of grass. Clear, copper coloured with a medium head. The taste is slightly toasty malty, has grapefruits, some grass, some flowers. Okay.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2016 The mainline brew from a growing craft brewer that definitely delivers the goods. Is even better delivered direct from the brewery! floydian1 (1479) - FNQ, Australia, - NOV 16, 2013
330ml bottle. More reminiscent of an English style pale ale rather than an APA with a sweet caramel malt base and a moderate floral hop bitterness. There are traces of stone and tropical fruits but nothing like like the more hoppy APAs. Copper-amber appearance with medium off-white head. I get none of the advertised grassy vinous elements.

The head is ok, the body orange. It smells sweet, fruity intensive, hoppy, hoparomatic. The taste is hoparomatic, a bit bitter, sweet-hoppy. The first taste was not so good but after a wail it is very nice! 12/12/12/11/-/12 Dredd (969) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - SEP 16, 2013
Nice aroma, sweetness and slight lychee. Pour is magnificent, deep amber with thin tan head. Delicious flavor, great cereal from the malts with a nice passion fruit driven hop finish. pintbypint (3770) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 7, 2013
500ml brown bottle. Deep golden to orange in colour, a bit of haze. Full white head, creamy and sticky with lots of lace rings. Fruity hops in the nose - slight orange and grapey Nelson Sauvs, light caramel. In the mouth the beer has caramel malts, orange peel and other fruitiness, mild grassy end, slight mineral notes. Bitterness is mild, light in body, perhaps a bit thin. Medium carbonation. A nice pale ale. The NZ hops work well here, drinks easily. M_Sack (762) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 14, 2013
Light, quite clear appearance with good lacing. Delicious tropical aromas with a malt caramel backing. Big, upfront malt caramel flavours that work towards a long, gentle bitterness. Brilliant balance. Travlr (25854) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Draft at Brew Craft. Clear deep golden color, white edgebhead. Aroma of peppery straw, brown bread dough. Taste starts sweet, then bitter straw.
