Draught at source. VERY subdued aroma, perhaps a bit sweet. Dark and rather stoutish color. Leaves sudsy lacing to prove it’s been there. Roasty and somewhat sweet at start, with the rated 100 ibu taking a good while to develop between sips. Relatively high alcohol content makes itself known later. Decent enough brew, but I prefer Crow’s IPA. sodakotakid (230) - Belle Fourche, South Dakota, USA - JUN 3, 2012
I received a free growler fill for my birthday from Crow Peak, and I chose this ale. It has a 100IBU rating but the hop taste is much milder then that. This ale has a sweet hoppy bite followed by a nice roasted dark malts. Pretty tasty! Ratman197 (14830) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Growler poured aclear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tanhead. Aromas of roastiness, charcoal, citrus, pine and skunk bud. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of charcoal, roasted malt, grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering roasty finish.
