2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Crowbar. This is a cloudy orange one with a small quickly side sticking and light lacing bubbly top. Not to extremely unique in the aroma. Some grassy tones, its light fruity and it has a lurking sweetness - and that’s about it. It’s light oily on the mouthfeel and soft on the carbonation. Mild and fruity flavors, some malts, sweet corn and it’s not a particularly exciting beer and this to be brutally honest. Some dryness in the aftertaste. Balanced and easy to drink, but not something that will stick to my mind for a longer period of time. 02.03.2013

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Medium beige head. Hazy opaque dark brown body. Caramelly vinous vegetable aroma with earthy notes. Dryish mealy earthy caramelly taste with watery fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy watery caramelly aftertaste with earthy dusty bread notes. It’s not bad, but a bit watery, possibly because I had it just after the vanilla assault beer. (0.2l draft at brewpub.)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Crowbar. Has a cloudy brown colour and a creamy off-white head. The aroma is dominated by leather and both dried fruit and fresh fruit along with some Belgian yeast. The taste is also sweet with berries, dried fruit, lemonade, leather, and some cinnamon. Has a soft and smooth mouth feel, and the bitterness is light. An interesting beer, a little light, but the taste and aroma is good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
200ml poured from tap at the brewpub. Spotty lacing from a low, off-white head. Unclear, dark ruby coloured body. Smell of dark marmalade. Malt-fruity taste, sweet banana, wheat and semi- tart fruits, jam-like. Bittersweet ending, half-dry. Likable, neither too sweet not too bitter (Oslo, 22.02.2013).

Dark copper murky, white head. Smells of roast, banana, some phenols, wheat and bubble gum. Taste of bubble gum too! Medium sweet, fruity with a nice touch of wheat. Moderate bitter, some malt bitterness. A quite nice and strange dunkelweizen

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: Cloudy brownish and subtle red color with a off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Wheat, malty and light banana.
Palate: Medium body. A bit sweet and a light bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Mild malty , vanilla and some banana.
Overall impression: Dunkelweize have never been one of my favourites. I prefer the normal hefeweize. But this was a nice try.
Personal stats: On tap at Crowbar & Bryggeri in Oslo, Norway.
