Unclear brownish red body. Low sand-colored head. A sharp fruity sourness on the nose. Hint of alcohol, a certain grassiness, and something reminscent of plums. Medium body. Plummy and berry-like fruit flavor. Light astringent. Finishes earthy with a light sourish tone.

Small lasting beige head. Clear slightly hazy deep red body with strong carbonation. Fruity earthy barnyard (?!?) aroma with wild berry notes. Dry-sweet barnyard, earth, and dried fruit taste with spicy salty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy blackberry and barnyard aftertaste with salty wild berry and wood notes. It’s too sharp and edgy and doesn’t offer enough in return. (0.2l draft at brewpub.) On tap at the brewpub. Rich, fruity, some sourness. Called a Winter ale on the blackborad, which is apropriate. Redcurrants, raspberries, it opens up as I sip. Layer upon layer of plrasant flavoir. Very Belgian.
