COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark brown ale has a gentle malt sweetness with a nutty, light caramel character that lasts into the finish. Brewed with imported english maris otter barley and fuggle hops. Its dry finish and low hop bitterness makes it readily suited to drinking in quantity. Refreshing yet flavorful.

Draft sample. Poured hazy brown color and an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt and nuts aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectatios where met.

Sample at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis. Pours dark brown with a medium thin beige head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt, roasted nuts and hops. Light body with a sweet malty character with notes of toffee and mildly bitter hops. The finish is malty with a short sweet aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at the brewpub. Standard brown ale - gotta have one, right? Slightly murky brown pour with a small foamy head. Mild nut and chocolate. Okay.

Draft: Nearly clear.........woody brown. Aroma is lightly nutty, malty. Taste is light chocolate, nut, malt. Nothing surprising, but good.

Tap: Medium brown hue with a frothy off-white head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of walnuts, toffee, biscuit, earthy and herbal hops, and a hint of juicy fruit gum. The taste is biscuity, caramel, nutty and slightly spicy with some grassy Fuggle bitterness upon the finish. The mouth feel is medium-bodied with soft without being underwhelming. All in all a solid Brown Ale.

This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of frothy off-white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated cola brown colored body and a poor lacing. The initial nose was yucky and a strange brown malt. The mouth feel was mellow from start to finish with an off-tasting thick brown malt aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of brown malt. Not one that I would likely drink again.

Very average brown ale, nothing wrong, but not a lot happening. Too little carbonation, hints of coffee in bloom, which seems out of place, finish leaves a coating on the tongue.

tap at Dash In - Pours dark and mostly clear amber-brown with a small off-white head. It has a mild caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet, mild, and bland. There’s a little caramel and in the finish some rather generic hop bitterness. It’s light to medium bodied and overall a disappointment.

Draft sample @ Ft. Wayne Oktobeerfest. Nutty roasty caramel malt aroma. Deep amber with a large beige head. Nutty roasty caramel malt flavor. Light body, soft carbonation.
