Copper to umber in color with a smallish light tan head. Light smoke scents with a simple caramel backdrop. Simple smoke and light malt flavors. A bit ashy in the finish. hotstuff (5160) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 13, 2014
Rated on 5-31-2011. When poured, this bottled beer has a small ivory head that mostly diminishes, transparent body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is light malt and smoke. The taste mimics the flavor and has a dry finish. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. For the style, this beer is not very smokey tasting. It is very quaffable and a beer I would drink again. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2014
Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some burnt and smoked malt notes. The flavor is similar with some big smoke, burnt malt and caramel character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - JAN 9, 2014
Pours amber with a thin tan head. I I didn't realize this was a smoked beer until after I tasted it. Aroma is smokey and oaky. Nice. Flavor is slightly sweet caramel and a fair amount is smoke. Nice beer. edgallow (4211) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 22, 2013

(12oz bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of smoke, raw ground beef, caramel, and sulfur. Flavor of smoke, grain, caramel, earth, and bacon fat. Bif (2245) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Pours a clear deep amber color with a small head that fades quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, and fairly mild touch of smoke. Taste of roasted malt, nuts with fairly mild smokiness. Mild bitterness with bit of a burnt malt aftertaste. Moderate body, smooth and a bit light on flavor. Not a fan of Smoked Ales, but at least this didn’t taste of ashtray ,like some do. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 16, 2013

Dark copper brown colour with a small off-white head.
The aroma is sweet caramel malt, smoked ham and mild bitterness. The flavour is sweet malt, toffee, smoke, smoked ham, tar and mild bitterness. Not necassarily that tasty. The label is very nice.
This beer doesn’t pour like you would expect a smoked ale to do, for it is slightly hazy auburn color with a large off-white head. The aroma is also a little weird for the smoke doesn’t come until the end; before that, it is strongly like dough yeast. The taste is mildly sour and slightly umami, and the smoke only appears in the finish; furthermore, the medium body, thin texture, and soft carbonation do nice things to your tongue despite the disappointing flavor Cybercat (5840) - Georgia, USA - JUL 12, 2013
Comes out of the bottle a clear tawny brown with a thick buff head. Malty aroma has a strong overtone of smoked bacon. Flavor does not quite echo the aroma, being malty and just a tad sweet but barely smoky and lacking depth. Bland texture has only average fizz and thickness. Only so-so, but still palatable. Good for a party.
