4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is pumpkin puree, a hint of allspice, toffee and booze. There is also a porter-like characteristic to the smell. Pitch black with a large tan head. I can taste the booze, which I don’t mind in an Imperial Stout. I am also getting slight hop bitterness, smoke, cocoa, pumpkin, a little spice with sweetness in the aftertaste. Really good. Unlike a lot of pumpkin beers I have tried, the pumpkin pie spices are not overdone. The palate is great - thick, chewy, perfect for such a big beer. I highly recommend this one. I can’t wait for it to get colder here so I can try it again.
This is without doubt my favorite autumnal brew. If I could have it just a tab thicker in mouthfeel I would rate it perfect. The flavor is pleasantly spiced and matches the aroma which is quite delightful. strap (915) - Sindelfingen, GERMANY - OCT 23, 2016
Smelled like potpourri. Tasted like potpourri soaked in a stout. Worst excuse for a beer I've ever tasted. Not drinkable...smelled good though

Bottle shared by DrSilverworm I believe from notes. Pours dark brown in color with a small beige head. The aroma has big cinnamon and coconut character and not much of anything else gets through. The flavor has more cinnamon and coconut, with lighter pumpkin, chocolate, light roast, caramel, a nice beer. Tmoney99 (14456) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2016
Bottle shared. Poured clear orange brown color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid doughy pumpkin and toasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy pumpkin sweet flavor with a medium to heavy spice sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Good beer.

Bottle - good size foamy head, almost black color, definite pumpkin spice and chocolate aroma and flavor, like a roasty, chocolately pumpkin pie, smooth finish, very good overall DocJitsu (1974) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - OCT 23, 2015
Pours an opaque very dark brown with a gigantic dark khaki head. BBQ, marshmallow, and pumpkin nose. Moderately thick mouthfeel. BBQ, Worcestershire, tart pumpkin, and cool whip flavors. weitz15 (581) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 10, 2015
Served cold. Dark brown pour, thin white head. Aroma is sweet pumpkin spice with a hint of choclate. Flavor is toffee, pumpkin, with a spiced finish. You can taste the alcohol on the finish, which might be the only downside here. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 15, 2015
Pours a dark brown color with tannish colored head. Pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate and rounds out with some roasted malts; follows onto the palate. Very smooth, full bodied stout. Finishes with chocolate and pumpkin pie spice, nice combo. Bif (2242) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - SEP 5, 2015
Bottle. Pours a blackish color with no real head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and spice. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, spice and trace of pumpkin. Mild bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth slightly boozy but has a good feel to it. Enjoyable beer, better than expected.
