22 ounce bottle. Pours orange and then has this vegetal quality with heavy malt and some pepper. Not really for me. seymour (2091) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - OCT 26, 2015
Tasted on tap at the St Louis Brewers’ Guild Halloween Fest in a commemorative stange glass. It poured a clear golden colour with spritzy white foam, lasting with lace. Basic golden/blond ale base beer, crisp and grainy, light body, dry finish. Serrano spice was unmistakable, authentic, good chili pepper vegetal flavour, very real heat, but tasty. Not as severe and palate-wrecking as most hot pepper beers. Non-traditional beer impression, but nonetheless balanced and well-crafted for what it is. Recommended, I think this beer receives unfairly low ratings. If you don’t like chili peppers, don’t expect to like a chili pepper beer, y’know?! Hardly and serrano character or heat. Kind of a sweet and tart aroma and flavor, actually. Not horrible, but loses a point for false advertising. dfinney23 (3395) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2015
Pours lightly hazy gold with nice white foam. Pepper and citrus aroma. Little pepper in the taste and first but builds to a low burn by the end of the glass. hayduke (5617) - Eureka, California, USA - FEB 5, 2015
From a trade via Strykzone. Oops. Did I hang on to this too long>?oured hazy yellow gold with as white head. Nose of peppers and something spoiled. Medium in body. Acrid mouth feel. This is supposed to be a pepper beer butI do not think it kept very well. Not very drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. A slightly hazy pale golden color with a head that fades quickly. Aroma of citrus, malt and spice. Taste of malt, bit of citrus and pepper. Decent bitterness and lingering pepper. Moderate body, decent beer but not keen on the peppery feel. nearbeer (5555) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 2, 2014
650 ml. Nose is toast, earthy toffee, zesty citrus and perfume. Hazy burnt-orange body is fairly active and sustains a quarter inch of creamy, beady bubbles. Taste is toffee, dusty toasted grain, flowery lemon-dish soap herbal hops and a bit of citrus zest. A nice touch of capsaicin develops a little later and lingers on the finish. Light-medium body has medium carbonation that is mostly smooth with only a few flareups in the mouth. The overall balance is there, but the flavors are swinging wildly all over the place. With a little tweaking could be really nice. jtclockwork (17070) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 25, 2014 Bottle I picked up in St. Louis. Pours cloudy gold. White head. Nose/taste of chili pepper, earth, old slightly rotten oranges and old citrus. Some malt. Medium body. Started to grow on me the more I drank it. My first couple ounces would have been a 2.5-2.8 range. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - JAN 26, 2014
(Wolpertinger 2014) gold/amber with white head. Aroma is light herbal hops. Flavor is vegatable matter, some malt, hint of peppers.
