Leighton (22821) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2014
Bottle at home in CT - picked up at New Beer Distributors in NYC. Pours hazy gold with a foamy, off-white head. The nose has bready pale malts, bread, slight tangerine rind. Medium sweet flavor with hints of caramel, light pine, sugary pale bread, baked hay, faint lemon zest. Medium bodied with average carbonation. OK balance on the finish, with some further dried pale malts, tangerine rind, slight citrus pith. Fair.

Hazy yellow body with a soapy white head. Aroma is pine with citrus notes. Taste is crisp hops with slight sweetness and a bitter finish. Slight dry aftertaste. Fairly typical IPA, drinkable enough.

keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - JUL 17, 2014
Appearance: Clear amber with golden tinges accompanied by a dense but short lived light tan head.
Aroma: The aroma is mostly hop aromas. I get mango, orange, grapefruit and hints of spice. The malt base adds a light nondescript sweetness.
Taste: Really nice flavorful IPA til the finish. Light bitterness with a mango and orange heavy flavor profile with a dash of spice on the finish. The malt base gives a slight biscuit flavor to it. The finish has a homebrew unrefined quality about it and a slight astringency.
Palate: Medium bodied and moderate to highly carbonated.
Overall: This could be a really solid IPA, but this brewery really needs to refine their process. This is the second beer that I’ve had from them that’s had a similar homebrew esque finish. Close, but not good enough for money.

12 oz bottle from Wine Academy. Poured a hazed bronze body under a foamy off white head. Aroma is fruity and grainy, notes of orange marmalade, apricot skin, old toast. Fizzy carbonation, fuller mouthfeel, not a good feel. Flavor is lacking, grains, old citrus meat, touch of dried out orange rinds. Meh not good.

mansquito (7136) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUL 9, 2014
New Beer Distributors, NYC 12oz ($2.75): Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is citrus with some malty backbone in there. Taste is very heavy on the grapefruit. It is a little sweet and sour too. Not particularly pleasant, but drinkable enough.

pineypower (3350) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Bottle from Canal’s. Pours out a nice, mostly clear golden color with a big white head. Aroma is of cereal grains, floral/citrus hops, some mild malty sweetness. Taste is a decent blend of pine, citrus and floral hops, with a little more sweet malt balance than I’d ideally want. Lingering cereal grains, sweet caramel, mild bitterness that stays behind on the finish. eh, it was ok.

12oz bottle, purchased from Lukas Liquor in Missouri during RBSG. Totally hazy orange golden color. Pours with a bigger off-white head, kind of pillowy. Leaves decent lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, light to moderate strength carbonation. More dry finish. Good pine, citrus hop, lightly spicy. Mild malt character, just a light crackery aspect. A hint of metallic. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. light sweet. Solid IPA.. Better than expected.

ganache (6089) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 27, 2014
Bottle, mine 6% abv. Nose is very pretty citrus peel, soft. Pours yellow-golden with a very large but not gushing soapy off-white head. Light body is soft with light tang and sweetness, light bitterness that’s smooth, more citrus parts from new-age hopping, and light spicy/herbal tones. Overall gentle and somewhat refreshing, touch of chalk I don’t like, though, and a general feel of irrelevance rather than weightlessness.

Holy lord, this is bad. Pours a honey golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is like steamed cauliflower and the taste is worse.
