COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hops climb up twine thats just loosely tied to the trellis with a half hitch knot and this Imperial IPA is just loosely tied to tradition. The Mosaic hop imparts surprisingly floral aromas instead of the more expected grapefruit-y notes. On the palate, complex layers of flavors might remind you of guava, mango, stone fruit and lemon, unraveling your idea of what an Imperial IPA should be.

Lightly hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry with good fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts, light creamy sweetness. Hops are pithy and mildly spicy. Modest tropical fruits underneath light pine. Semi dry finish. Hop spicy linger. This bottle is at least 6 months old so it has held up well.

On tap at the Foundry. A solid Imperial. Spicy hop and citrus aromas lead to a fairly full bodied brew, fruity and citrusy with an alcohol underbody. Its not complex, its not bitter and it is very drinkable. One more 4 star member of a very large club.

Bottle from Bridgetown Beerhouse in Portland. Big, slightly sulfury, piney hop nose, caramel, and citrus. Amber/gold,, thick head. Dank and bitter initial flavor, light sourish tropical fruit (Mosaic), and chewed up weeds. Medium-heavy body. Aroma isnt exactly Mosaic, but flavor is. Very juicy, thick, and tasty.

At a tasting, small creamy bubbly head, hazy orange color, aroma of citrus, onion and guava, fruity flowery flavor with a very light maltiness in the back, shrubby slightly soapy bitterness, suprisingly light bodied. Highly drinkable.

Im a sucker for Mosaic hops. This bottle was sent to me in a trade, bottled on 11/15 /15. Its a muted version of its glorious self, Im sure, so Ill rate it accordingly.

Keg at Mikkeller SF. Pours clear deep gold with a frothy white head. Big dank hop nose, with notes of rich cat urine, mango, melon, tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with some oily pine, orange, piss, pale bread. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with more pee and tropical fruits, pale bread, light pine. Solid DIPA. Great mosaic expression.
