500, capped. Pours a hazy medium amber with lightly moving carb and a nice medium light tan head that fades. Huge tangy fruity orange juicy nose, like a tall glass of fresh squeezed with pulp. The fruity acidity and oils just roll through in huge waves out of this one. Delicious. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Tangy, oily, brightly acidic mid-palate, showing orange juice and orange pith in equal measures, really glittering with citric qualities. Long tangy fruity finish.
Very nice beer and an amazing showcase for the Mosaic.
Amazingly unique and delicious tropical IPA. Passion fruit and melons on the nose. Hoppy but a bit sweet and thick and rich. Just delicious. burleybrew (75) - - FEB 7, 2014
Bottle from the brewery. Decent aroma w/fruity notes from mosaic hops. Big fruity flavor w/a sweet finish which to style is not desired. Wouldn’t order it at the brewery & couldn’t finish a pint; too sweet. OldMrCrow (2435) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Draft at Apex 12/2013 in Portland.

Head to head against Alpine Pure Hoppiness. Gold pour, somewhat coarse white head. The aroma is a huge WTF -- skunky polecat spicy thing going on. Pepper. Not your grandad’s hop, nor even my own PacNW c-hoppification. Something different here. Flavor follows surprisingly close to the aroma. Musk and pepper rather than weed and grapefruit. None of the oils late that assualt the palate for almost any other IPA this intense. Malts just stay the hell out of the way, light cracker ever so gently sweet but that’s about it. As Tom says, great showcase for Mosaic. Mosaic is a heck of an interesting beast --- aromatic without palate-numbing oils --- and while it’s a bit much as a single-hop concoction, I think we’ll be seeing some real beauties incorporating this one somewhere down the line.
Draft at the Pine Box. Deep woody orange, thick foamy head. Big rich resiny imp ipa, but not too big. very fruity pine and citrus. warming, coating beer. tasty but a bit flat and one-dimensional. mcberko (17345) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 20, 2013
On tap at Apex, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is very dank, with notes of earthy hops and some slight tropical fruit. Flavour brings out loads of tropical fruits, such as mango and pineapple, earthy dank hops, and just enough malt to back. Very juicy and highly thirst-quenching. Excellent stuff. Pours slightly hazy golden with a finger white head and great retention.
Smell big grapefruit, bit of pine and citrus.
Taste smooth sweet pineapple and melon, big juicy tropical fruit.
Good drinkability and med body.

From a growler from the Bend brewery. Deep orange amber with a persistent thin skin of a head. Soft sweet malty aroma with a little hops but not really the classic citrus or pine. Taste was decidedly tame. Lacking the big bitter hop flavor. Certainly for a double. I would ahve been hard pressed to believe it was even a "single" IPA. Pleasant and tasty but mild and tame and not even close to a DIPA boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured pale, yellow with a thick white head. Nose was a little yeasty, a little off. As my palate had gotten used to the flavor profile of this beer the aroma was so bad. Mosaics crushed it on this one. Sweet, resinous, onion-like vegetal hop spices all over this one. Lots of hop flavor and some bitterness. Mild mouthfeel, not too dense or sweet. neepsntatties (1975) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 23, 2013
UPDATED: APR 24, 2013 This is the IMPERIAL Mosaic. On tap from Rick at Lardo (east) in Portland (thanks, Rick). Colour...golden amber with little head. Nose...musky with hop resin and grapefruit pith. Palate...the husky-musky aspect really comes in to play, up front! There’s a distinctly sweat-like flavour as well which I feel sure comes from the type of hops. The flavour leans toward the grapefruit realm as opposed to the pine. The 10.5% abv is well masked and could easily sneak up on you if you’re not careful! A very quaffable 10.5% imperial ipa!
