12 ounce can. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A light toasted malt nose. Sweet, some pils malt, honey, very soft, light perfume. Solid. Sarlacc83 (2514) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 10, 2017
Can. From notes.
A: Clear straw with a thin white head.
N: Straw, sulfur, pine, earth, bubblegum, hay fields, and cracker.
T: Bitter and lightly sweet. Somewhat clean, but not as much as I would like.
M: Light body, no alcohol, spritzy carbonation.
O: Nice pils. Hits the style points, but it is missing that extra oomph to get it into Heater Allen territory. Oakes (19697) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 9, 2017
On tap at St. Augustine's, Vancouver. Straw colour. No head, but that's the norm at this establishment. Has a lightly grassy aroma. Has light bitterness, some straw malts...not great but a good, basic American pilsner. I would prefer a bit more of both hop and malt, but it's all good. Clear golden coloured body with a large, five centimetre tall pure white head that fades quite nicely, but leaves an ugly lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of some grass and hay, along with a touch of perfume and light citrus, but a lot of banana and bubble gum yeast esters floating around, very nice smelling and incredibly complex, especially for a lager. Light-bodied; Strong flavours of lemons, citrus, grass, hay, bananas and oranges up front with a lighter smooth flavor of yeast, citrus and dry grasses near the end. Aftertaste shows a very refined beer with the citrus, dry notes and sweetness coming out towards the end, but incredibly smooth and drinking more of a saison or a biere de garde rather than a pilsener. Overall, a very nice beer and well worth trying to find, even if you don't typically like the style, this is one that is worth getting to re-develop your appreciation for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia at the end of my driveway for US$2,49 on 04-July-2017, but sampled at my other 'home' on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in Pungoteague, Virginia on 01-September-2017. Golden with a fine white head. Very floral aroma. Moderately bitter with a firm malt background. A somewhat unique pilsner with its flowery bouquet, but it hits all the right style points. bulldogops (2885) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 26, 2017
Rating #2503 - 2017.05.27 - Crux Tap Takeover @revolution Clear yellow pour, with a moderate white foam, very carbonated. Aroma is quite pleasant, floral hops and grains.. Taste is quite smooth, hallertauesque bite, and a decent malty sweetness. Balanced trapped (3922) - New York, TURKEY - JUN 13, 2017
Can. Pours pale yellow with large foamy white head, sweet malt aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter taste with a bit of yeast sourness, thin body, abrupt finish with slight malty aftertaste. Nice, not very dry.
