Pint at The Beachcomber in Florence OR $5 Dark dark brown with an awesome looking tan head. Nice coffee (light roast) and semi dark chocolate. Taste similar to nose..but has a pleasing a shy woodiness. Great smooth. Semi thick mouth feel. Excellent trad porter

Milk and Hops: pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is chocolate and roasty malts. Taste is chocolatey and a bit sweet. Body and texture are sort of milky. Interesting.

chinchill (5546) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 10, 2016
On tap at the brewery Tasting Room in Bend. Look: clear dark black-mahogany body, just about as expected, with a decent head and some sticky lacing. Sweet and roasted grain smells with a faint hint of smoke. Flavor: follows the aroma and more like an English Porter than an American except for the higher (than typical English) bitterness. Overall: excellent version of an Anglo-American porter.

solid roast and chocolate character in this lightish brown porter. Very well made if not quite as robust as I usually prefer.

I’m not a big porter fan, but this beer is really really good. I was surprised by the pleasant chocolate and coffee aroma. Not over powering. The beer had really good carbination, and was not to thick and chewy like some porters tend to be.

neepsntatties (2110) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 29, 2013
On tap at Belmont Station. Colour...very dark brown with a thin khaki head. Nose....light roasted coffee, cafe au lait, roasted nuts and some milk chocolate. Palate...thin, but not in a bad way, slightly tangy with a general roastiness that brims with light bodied coffee, bits of charcoal and hazelnuts. The finish lingers with roastiness but is otherwise fairly clean.
