375, corked, capped, and waxed. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head that falls immediately away to not too much. Big sweet bourbony nose, some apricot showing. Lots of roast and coffee as well. Creamy thick body with soft carb. Roasty sweet coffee and black liquorice body. Long ashy roasty finish. Everythings here, everythings nice, not really a new spin on a style weve had a million times by now. Very good stuff. Just a lot like what everyone has done.

Smells like cherries with a hint of bourbon. Initial taste to hit you is smooth chocolate, followed by a fruitiness (cherries) and finishing with the warmth from the bourbon. Really, really nice beer! (K)

375 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate to full head. Aromas of chalky dark fruit, chocolate with raisins, and dried oak. Flavors follow same with additional dry dark chocolate and powdery roasted malts. Noticeable ABV. For the cellar...

Bottled Oct 2015. Black color with a thin head. Boozy and rummy aroma. Big molasses, rum, and booze flavor. Very smooth and lush mouthfeel. Moderate roasted barley, but nowhere near ashy. Strong malt. Leaning towards sweet finish.

chinchill (4442) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 10, 2016
2015 vintage on tap at the brewery Tasting Room in Bend. Look:opaque, essentially black body with a decent tan head. Sweet, boozy malt-based aroma with notes of vanilla, prunes and faint spices. Flavor: rich, moderately complex mix of the elements from the aroma plus some wood notes. A bit too sweet although theres a substantial bitter kick in the finish. Feel: slick,medium-full body.

Nice roasty imperial stout aroma. Black in color with a tan head. Malty, with a bite (rye?) with some smokiness and bourbon booze edges. Notes: On at the Denver Rare Beer Tasting 15

Rich, strong, a hint of bitterness. Heavy body, an awful lot of vanilla and a good boozy heat. Yeah, thats good stuff, nice vein of smoke in it gives it a wonderful peaty quality.

Bottle at THT. Almost black with short lasting light brown head. Massive bourbon, coffee, cocoa beans, lots of roasted malts, dried red fruits, quite herbal too, milk chocolate, cognac, herbal candies. Quite sweet with boozy bitter finish. Over medium bodied.
