Bottle shared with Sarah in the apartment in Fuertaventra. A deep orange amber coloured pour with a lasting frorhy white head. Aroma is semi sweet nutty cakey malts, little Warming alcohol, whiff of strong Belgian about it. Flavour is composed of sweet nutty brown bread, hint of toffee, Belgian yeast, spicy finish, little burnt toffee. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, highish carbonation,. Bit of an alcohol bite in the finish.

Big beige lasting head. Clear coppery still body. Peppery floral aroma with fruity notes. Sweet spicy fruity taste with sugary notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, slightly flat mouthfeel. Sweet spicy fruity aftertaste with papery mealy alcoholic notes. The dirty alcohol at the end reduces it quite a bit in my eyes, but other than that it’s really quite nice. (0.33l can, from El Corte Ingles, Placa Pius XII, Barcelona.)

Buena cerveza. Aroma suave, apariencia ambarina oscura con corona de espuma color marfil constante, sabor agradable de medio cuerpo y paladar correcto.

luttonm (5549) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 8, 2017
Bottle, purchased in CDMX and opened in Bogota. Creamy, lingering foam on slightly richer orange, clear lager body. Rice and grain on nose, not too appetizing, dusty. Slightly richer body, definitely got the ’premium lager’ thing going on. Boozy flavors dominate the back end. Alright for what it is, but it ain’t good.

Gyllengul öl med ett lättare vitt skum. Doft av säd, jäst och lättare malttoner. I smaken tillkommer en lite störande alkoholsötman.

Very good first taste. Then it fades into overly liqueur like notes. But a refreshing one with a winter punch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The perfect balance of aroma and taste. Must be served very cold (preferably on a hot sunny day) with good cheese and ham to compliment. A beautiful beer contained in a beautiful bottle; what’s not to like?

The looks are quite simple. The beer has an amber color and is quite clear. On top a regular layer of rough white foam is formed. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly, leaving a thin drape. The smell is simple. It’s nice, but that’s all. There are sweet malts, aromas of raisins and bread and some sweeter yeast aromas. The hops are weak, but some bitter hop aromas can be noticed. The taste is simple to. It’s not bad. Bitter hops, sweet malts, that’s it. The hop aromas and malt aromas are better and more balanced than a regular pilsener though, so I do like it more than Cruzcampo regular. The palate is avarage. The body is medium light, medium carbonation and a nice hoppy finish, that’s not extremely long. All in all, a nice beer, easy drinkable but not very special.
