On tap @ Főzdefeszt 2013 - Dark brown / black colour, small tan head, fair retention. Malty nose with roasted tones, chocolate, burnt breadcrust, some caramel. Taste is roasted, a bit ashy, chocolate and a bit toffee, some earthy hops. Medium body, average carbonation, decent roasty, bitter finish. Quite simple, but good stout. lord_totenkopf (314) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 20, 2013
Dark brownish colour. Malts in aroma with roasted notes and a bit of blueberry and grapes. Taste is rich with malts and coffee notes along with some fruitiness. Kind of plain at the finish and the aftertaste. luttonm (6737) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Draft at Skanzenclub, Budapest. Popular beer here tonight, good to see. Deep rich brown-black, mild and minimal tan head. Warm and relatively still, same sweet tooth that all beers have here. nice ruddy malts counter though, and adds slight caramel. some vanilla, chocolate notes too. bitter chocolate all the way. fantastic Hungarian stout, well done. inbirraveritas (1611) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 11, 2013
Pitch black in colour with unfortunately no head.
Roasty, dried fruity nose.
The aroma brings dried cherries, caramel, coffee and hints of dark chocolate along.
Mouthfeel is slick, oily.
Long and tannic finish escorted by roasted malt, hops and some gently appearing notes of alcohol, which leaves a roasty-fruity aftertaste behind.
Fine, well made.
