On tap @ Főzdefeszt - Cloudy deep orange colour, small off-white head, fair retention. Sweet aromas of dried fruits, raisins, red berries, caramel, oak, leather. Taste is sweet, raisins, plum, grapes, tobacco, caramel. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, sticky texture, fruity finish. Nice, complex malty ale.

Draft. Cloudy, orange-brown colour, small off-white head, vinegary aroma, medium body, smooth fizziness, no taste, vinegary palate. A beer with vinegary off-taste, undrinkable...

Lore (2827) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 24, 2013
a bit hazy orange colour, not too much off-white head; very complex aroma of , raisin, grape, touch of sweet white wine, oak barrel, hints of alcohol and some honey; after the aroma, taste seems a bit too modest and not as sophisticated as aroma, though it is also quite comlpex: caramel, raisin ,hints of dessert (white) wine and some slight hoppy bitterness; really good ale in summary

ogivlado (7948) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUN 6, 2012
Draught at Főzdefeszt III, Budapest. Clear amber coloured, small off-white head, fruity jam like nose. Sweet malty, honey and overripe fruit taste with slightly sour notes near the end.

At the F-Fest, possibly the most expensive Hungarian beer... and... infected. COME ON!?! Red body tinged with amber, white head - looking nice. Sourish, overwhelming aroma of rotten fruit. Sourish malty taste with vague notes of peach and/or strawberry jam. Shows promise, but it’s off like pretty much everything they seem to have brought this time... And I’m sure it’s good when it’s in good shape. Will try to rerate, but that probably won’t happen soon.

luttonm (6564) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 25, 2012
Draft at Skanzenclub in Budapest. Big brown, foamy tan head. very smooth and low carbonation. Sweet tannin and brown malt nose, raisons. touch dry-bitter over sweet malt. touch sticky. round dark frutiness. very nice

On tap at SkanzenClub, Budapest. Hazy, reddish amber color with big, creamy, light brown head. Intensive, rich aroma with a lot of fruits (especially prunes, barries and peach) and honey. The aroma is massive, mature, harmonic. Well balanced, light bitter-sweet taste. Medium body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. A little sour, fruity finish. It’s a very delicious, mature beer with a lot of rich fruits flavour. Intensive, but drinkable. One of the best beers in Hungary!

mattphilips (801) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 25, 2011

inbirraveritas (1603) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 17, 2011
0.75 l bottle from Sörspecialista, Bp. Opalesquent reddish brown coloured brew with a medium sized pale brown head. Sweet-tart nose and aroma with dried fruits, berries and caramel escorted by some chocolate, hops and peppery alcoholy accents in the background, texture’s syrupy. It finishes warming and medium dry with citrusses, alcohol and spices, which leaves a tart aftertaste behind. Medium to full bodied, well done ale.
