A múltkori KontinentalAle-hez tudnám hasonlítani, csak ugye ez egy valódi IPA. És bár nem túl kiugró, nem túl hivalkodó, de teljesen rendben van ez is.

Pig’s Ear Fest. Bottle. Hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft malts, some mild creamy sweetness contrasts with bitterish caramel. Hop spice and ripe orange, ripe lemon on the demi dry finish. Serviceable.

Bottle. Bronze and poured with a small head.Hoppy and slightly fruity with a touch of bitterness lingering in the background. Wasn’t sure what to expect from this one as it was my first from this brewery and only my third from Hungary. A pleasant surprise -what a nice beer.

Fules (1336) - Gyöngyös, HUNGARY - AUG 22, 2016
Közepes, nagyon tartós hab, barna szín. Kissé édeskés, citrusos, gyantás illat. Citrusos, narancsos, enyhén gyantás, jelzés értékűen édes ízvilág. Közepesen testes és szénsavas, közepesen keserű, hosszú lecsengéssel. Kellemes, jól eltalált sör.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Pours medium-light brown, single finger off white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, pine, lemon...Taste of nuttiness, earthiness, caramel, then grapefruit, lemon, orange, lychee and some pine, a lightly spicy finish, yet nicely bitter. Decent.

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2016
Keg at Smithfield Tavern, Manchester. Dark reddish shade. Off-white head. Big notes of pine, red berries, citrus and vanilla. Quite an amber ale vibe, but most of what you’d want from an IPA is there.

Aroma: light exotic fruits, melon, papaya. Appearance: hazy, dark brown, hardly any head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: overripe fruits, light resin, papaya yogurt, bitter finish, some grass. Overall: not a bad IPA, nice aroma and palate. Pint at The Rake, London Bridge.

Bottle - Hazy deep amber colour, medium off-white head, fair retention. Fruity and toffee nose, some orange peel, pine, grass. Taste is sweet caramel, some bread, nice citrussy hops, grapefruit, peach, lemon zest, pine. Medium body, soft carbonation, sticky texture. The malt base is too heavy in my opinion. Good IPA, but nothing spectacular.
