I really like this brewery but unfortunately their beers seem to sit around in weird places, never had a really fresh bottle of any of their beers .. . pours out copper .. good foam level .. . dark fruit, mild oxidation, syrup, and mild resin .. . easy going mouth, a pretty nice beer- nothing outrageous but solid .. . . Ignore that bloated corpse! Look at how safe our new building is! Chuckaduck (674) - Highland Heights, Kentucky, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle. 5/9/13. Pours deep translucent red with a thin, bubbly, off-white head. Some oily streaks of bubbles hang around for a while. Aroma is pretty nice; vanilla, caramel, fruity, berries, alcohol, bread. Taste is very similar; caramel, vanilla, sweet fruits and berries (just a touch cloying); bitter finish, grass and citrus peel. No lacing. Medium carbonation. Mouth feel is slick, oily. Alcohol is relatively well hidden. However, there is something in here that tastes artificial, overly sweet but sickly; reminds me of aspartame. It’s subtle; but when I pick up on it, I don’t like it. Loses some serious points there; exercise that demon and you have a decent barley wine. anders37 (26605) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2013

Color is clear reddish brownish orange. Very small beige head. Aroma is quite sweet, dark fruits, caramel, toffee, ...and something else..perhaps something warm and very ripe like a fruit and cheese tray out all afternoon. Medium to full body. Short, fruity candy sweet finish. Unlike other barley wines Ive had. Flavor is candy sweet fruity and booze. MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 5, 2013
aroma is very sweet, yet almost skunky. Very odd, and hard to pick out particular aromas. sweet, malty, sugar, dried fruit maybe.
Taste-sweet, tart, dark fruits. medium to light body.

650ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a small white head that leaves no lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits (raisins and/or red grapes), caramel and alcohol. Taste is dark fruit and caramel malty sweetness with some herbal bitterness and a pronounced alcohol burn in the finish, making it seem like more than 10%. Much different than an barley wine I have sampled before. For me it tastes more like a strong Belgian style ale. chrisv10 (17418) - DENMARK - MAR 23, 2013
