Rating #2394 - 2016.03.28 - Sometimes you forget about a box of beer. This is hidden contents 1 of 5. Pours an opaque black, barelythere tan cap that bubbles away quickly. Aroma is very much cocoa, vanilla, a teensy bit roasty and earthy. Taste is a hint of coffee, chocolate and the roasted grain. Thick, frothy, but still quite rich in flavour. Mild creamy texture. Decent impy.

More beers that had disappeared from my lists. Quite good and easy to enjoy but somewhat hoppy too.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey & Raphaela’s place. Thanks Alexey. Opaque brown with brownish head. The aroma has notes of milk chocolate, cherry, wood and raisin, a bit alcoholic. Sweet flavor with notes of raisin, very alcoholic, umami, salted snack, sourish. Very carbonated, medium to full-bodied.

At a tasting, thanks, medium stable frothy mocha head, deep brown color but not opaque, aroma of honey cake, raisins, prunes and cocoa, flavor of dark chocolate, coffee, and hint of candle wax and something metalic. Nice but not really my thing.

Bottle, 355ml. A dark beer with a big brown foamy head and some lacing. Aroma is of chocolate, coffee, caramel, piloncillo and brown sugar. Taste is bitter with a strong roasted coffee finish. Medium bodied with some carbonation and astringency. Very rich and complex flavor, full of spices and sweet coffee. Probably the first from Cucapa that makes an impression on me.

Icheee momma! Thin and boozy with a lot of roast... Nice Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, coffee and roasted malts... Bit after that this one is tough to take... However pretty awesome to see beer like this coming out of Mexico!

650 ml bottle. Pours an opaque, dark brown almost black colour with a very thin brown head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, liquorice, dark chocolate and brown sugar. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, liquorice, dark chocolate, coffee and brown sugar with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and soft carbonation. Better than I expected.
