Bottle bought at systembolaget. Poured a sticky golden colour. Nose of intense rich honey, almond oil, nutmeg, orange hints, blossom, and caramel. Big rich honey taste, oil, nuts, and blossom. Rich round mouthfeel. Very good classic mead to find on the swedish shelf. Loved it. Can’t understand those low ratings

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Labeled Inkergut Mjöd Honungsvin. Checked with the importer and this is a Swedish labeling of Met Honigwein. Pours golden with some very pretty legs. Smell is sweet with honey, caramel, bochet, bees wax, dried flowers, alcohol and lemon peal. Taste is very sweet with honey, caramel, bees wax, hay, orange zest, lemon zest and alcohol. Mouthfeel is tiny viscous, sticky sweet, boozy, round and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet with honey, caramel, bees wax, hay and alcohol. Tasty almost over the top sweet bees wax focused mead.

And finally, after so many talks about this, here it comes...
Bottle from Imkerei Lauble in Lauterbach (http://www.fohrenbuehler-bienenhonig.de)

It pours a vivid honey color. The aroma is strong: honey, and soap, wax, pine needles; pungent. The mothfeel is thick enough; it’s very sweet; it has a good honey flavor with a very good citrusy counterbalance, both for flavor and acidity; quite fruity indeed.
Interesting product.
