Draft to growler at Party Town from backlog notes. Pours a dark golden to light amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted grainy malts, caramel, orange citrus, some citrus peel, earthy hops, pretty solid ipa. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2012
On tap at the brewpub in Louisville, KY. Pours a clear golden, slightly copper tinted body with an inch thick, dense and frothy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is bigger Amarillo dry hops with a nice grapefruit pine note. A bit of a tangerine resin with a light caramel and pale malt sweetness. Flavor is sweet citrus hops up front with some grapefruit, clementine oranges, and tangerines. A bit of a messy, sweet crystal and caramel maltiness in the middle before this finishes somewhat sweet with a moderate grapefruit pine bitterness and sweet caramel backing. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA. A bit sweet with lots of Amarillo hops. Nothing special, but not bad. Draft sample at KFOA. Poured clear daek copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

3/06/2011: Cumberland Amarillo IPA... Aroma: Juciy Amarillo hops waft from the glass - lots of citrusy orange and tangerine paired with some toffee maltiness. Appearance: Golden-amber color with just a slight haze; solid head of dense, thick, and lasting beige-colored foam; generous level of small carbonation bubbles is visible; really fine lacing. Flavor: Nice malt profile - toated grains, toffee, a little brown sugar and cocoa nibs; citrusy in the middle; the finish reveals the clementine and some grapefruit peel hoppiness as well as a moderate bitterness. Palate: Medium-full body; creamy and very smooth; mellow. Overall: REALLY good and VERY sessionable; I can’t decide which one is better - this beer or the CCumberland Simcoe IPA...
Draught (growler fill, 7.5% ABV) from Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #1 for this beer.
