on draft at mellow mushroom...pours dark brown with the obvious nitro head that dissipates from the bottom up and yet doesnt disappear. the nutty malt aroma is quite good. the flavor is sweet malt and that same nuttiness...a definite solid porter. Aroma of chocolate, light coffee roastiness and a touch of red grape. Appearance was dark amber with bone head. Flavor matched the nose, but with the roast level brought up a notch. Palate is soft and oily. Average. drfabulous (8470) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 23, 2012

Dark brown with garnet highlights and a creamy tan head. Nutty chocolate aroma and a syrupy chocolate and coffee taste with a sweet malty finish. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 28, 2010
On tap in an English pint. Pours black with a cream-colored head. Aroma of the chocolate and smokiness of the porter. Light texture like a Guinness, and the flavor is good but not overpowering. A pretty good beer, but porters aren’t really my style and it’s sort of light for me.
