On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and roast. Thin body, roast, chocolate, light dry finish, good. JStax (7153) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 1, 2016
Nitro pour. The beer is a darker brown with a khaki head of velvety foam. The aroma has nutty notes and some soft chocolate. Creamy milk chocolate sweet taste. Velvety mouthfeel. Medium body and medium carbonation. willisread (3640) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 11, 2015
Old rating. Tap at the brewpub. Deep brown with a small tan head. Aromas of coffee, vanilla, chocolate and prune as it warms. Taste is quite similar with good fruity tartness in the background as it warms. Nice roasty, bitter finish. rondphoto (4494) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - DEC 30, 2014
on tap @ Cumberland / Louisville KY --- Opaque brown/black, tan rim head, fine-textured sheet of lace. Taste is creamy toasted malt that has a hint of bitter chocolate on the swallow, moving to more bittering as the finish lingers. Somewhat derivative of many others, but satisfying none-the-less. bubblehouse (1556) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - OCT 1, 2014
One of cumberland’s better beers. Nice chocalate flavors and really good and dry. Looks good.

Not what I expected. Black pour with creamy white head. Aroma is berries. Tast is a little chocolate and coffee. Good stuff. LeifVinter (4) - - DEC 28, 2013 does not count
This beer is delicious. A lot of coffee notes, with a hint of chocolate. Perfectly bittersweet. Smooth finish, with a lingering "dark chocolate" taste in your mouth. JaBier (8235) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - SEP 24, 2013
Sample at Cumberland on 9/14/13. Darkest brown pour with a thick tan nitro head. Aroma of malt, cream, chocolate and vanilla. Malty and chocolatey flavor with some vanilla sweetness before a bitter, roasty finish.
