Nose - light lemon or grapefruit. Malt backdrop. Doesn’t sing of American influence.
Taste - more lemon with mineral note, pithy at the back.
Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - not a lot of high notes but very balanced. gegwilson (3676) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2016

Draft at Kirkstile Inn. Pale, reddish amber, with good lasting head. Pleasant subtle aroma of hops. Strong flavours of citrus, justifying name. Dry hopped? Recommended. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2015
Bottle Rheged Penrith. Big toffee and spruce aroma, a really lively bitterness to this golden ale. Sharp, spicy hops, background smoke and some blackcurrant in the finish. Lot of love for CLA.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival in KEGS. Cask. Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and reasonably crisp from decent fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts, mildly sweet. Little floralness precedes smooth orange - lemon citrus, turning marmalade and bitter. Finishes smooth with the bitterness getting harsher. Very clean and drinkable.
