I’d been walking in Great Langdale and stopped at Rheged Heritage Centre for some fuel in the way home and saw this in the service station, so I guessed it was some kind of fate type thing...so I bought a bottle! It’s a well balanced brew, good hop character with a nice biscuity malty side. Good long lasting finish, I like this, I might just stop there for petrol the next time I’m in The Lakes.

Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer festival ’17. Gold with white head. There was a fresh fruitiness to this from the off, clean, sharp flavours, fleshy lemon and oranges, a touch of pithy bitterness. Easy on the palate. Really very pleasant.

Bottle from Rheged. Appearance - golden amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - pine and grapefruit mostly. Taste - toffee and lemon pith. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - nice refreshing beer.

500ml bottle from Tebay Services. Nice enough and easy to drink bitter. Deep gold colour with a thin white head. Aroma is mainly malt and caramel, taste is a touch floral.

Gravity dispense at the Happy Man Autumn BF, 10/10/14. Clear golden with a well appointed white head. Nose is citric sherbets, lemon rind, orange tones. Taste comprises pale malt, tangy orange, citric rinse, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Had this down as a decent citrified golden blonde - not a bitter!

Pours a not quite clear gold with a white head. Slight citrus smell and tastes a bit citrusy too.

Cask at the Brook House Inn, Boot, Cumbria. Clear gold with a small white head. Tastes of orange and lemon, zesty fresh and really rather nice. Good one.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Gold beer, slightly hazy. Suddy white head. Light dry palate. A whisper of floral things. Mild orange and grapefruit. Finishes semi dry with mild minerals. Okay.
