Bottled. Dark brown colour with mediumsized brown head. Aroma is sweet acidic fruits along with hops and coffee. Some wet, burnt wood is also present. Flavour is old coffee, sour and acidic dark fruit. The aftertaste is quite the same, but with chocolateish hints. A very sour and acidic porter, otherwise it could be nice... madmitch76 (26431) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2013

Craft Clerkenwell. Martin T tasting. Clear deep amber - brown beer. Big pale cream coloured head. Light dry palate. Sweetish malt, whisper of dark chocolate. Little paper. Insipid dry finish. Meh!
A deep red/brown coloured brew, with a roast malt nose with atinge of sourness, sharp but not unplesent citric notes in front with rounded malt. omhper (25953) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 24, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2007 Bottled. Ruby/black, small beige head. Licorice aroma. Dryish with wild yeast sourness, roasty malt and the lightest touch of wood and old english marmelade. Finishes somewhat metallic with medium bitterness. The yeasty acidity makes gives it a touch of old ale. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2006
(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, reddish brown with a rough, beige head. Vinous aroma. Medium body with a light tartness and oaky, vinous notes. Unusual with the oak accents in a beer this light in alcohol, but actually very pleasant. 150906 Leighton (22819) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2013
Bottle shared with Jack at The Kernel - London. Pours clear brown with a creamy tan cap. Sugary brown bread nose. Medium sweet flavor, faint ashy roast, brown bread, dry earth. Light to medium bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Dry finish, slightly ashy, with dry toast, light earthy bitterness, dried and toasted sugars. OK. fiulijn (21511) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 11, 2006
Dark brown color; frothy head. Mild but interesting aroma, with a clean wood character, giving a light oak bacteria sourness. Light body structure, quite common taste, based on roasted malt and caramel, but embellished with a gentle oak character and very light Bourbon vanilla. The final is mainly built on the roasted malt, quite dry.
