Bottle. Cheers to Leighton for the generous pour. The pour’s deep brown with a medium tan head. The nose is rich milk chocolate, mild chili, some roasted coffee beans. The taste is sweet chocolate cake, lightly toasted grains, charred wood. Hints of espresso. The body’s a little bit watery. Overall, while perhaps a bit sweet, I did enjoy his beer. Approachable, nice. SaintMatty (7362) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2012

Bottle. Deep red. Creamy head. Roasty, dark flavours. Oaky, sourish, very much wood. My first oaked porter and I liked it lots. reebtogi (6267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 9, 2012
330ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a small off-white head that leaves only a small trace of lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits with hints of chocolate and roasted grains. Taste is a dark fruity and chocolate malty sweetness with some roasted grain bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A little on the thin side for the style, but otherwise, this is quite a nice brew, tasty and easy to drink. Leighton (21235) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2013
Bottle shared with Jack at The Kernel - London. Pours clear brown with a creamy tan cap. Sugary brown bread nose. Medium sweet flavor, faint ashy roast, brown bread, dry earth. Light to medium bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Dry finish, slightly ashy, with dry toast, light earthy bitterness, dried and toasted sugars. OK. 330 ml bottle. Lovely, clear, dark amber body with a nice beige head. Quite light, but nice aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit and some chocolate. Flavor is mild, dark roasted malt, dark fruit, light coffee and chocolate, liquorice and moderate bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste of roasted malt and liquorice. Pleasant and easy to drink, but nothing extraordinary.
