UPDATED: OCT 18, 2012 Bottle; muddy brown, very thin brown head; smells like tannic red wine, very pleasant; tastes of lightly toasted malt, coffee, dark fruit and vanilla; slightly sweet; fairly light mouthfeel; dry malty finish; a half-decent porter that slipped down well without leaving a lasting impression. Good depth of flavour, chocolate and vanilla, slight sweetness, nice packaging. edsspoon (905) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2014
Bottle - pours deep red with a fizzy brown head that fairly quickly fizzles away to nothing. Aroma of liquorice, coffee, roast malt and cocoa with some hints of banana and vanilla. Taste of smooth coffee with roast malt and a light, earthy bitter finish. Silky smooth body with high carbonation. The bottle made it sound like this was going to be great! But then it was just okay, so that was disappointing. joergen (28949) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2006
