COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Driven by wanderlust and a desire for discovery, the Curious Traveler™ set out to explore the globe. Always fearlessly inquisitive, he relished opportunities to befriend other travelers and to experience cultures he had only previously imagined. He sampled their wares, their foods and most importantly their libations. Some were good. Some not so good. Others were downright dangerous. Many years into his travels, his pace slowed on a particularly sweltering day. He sought refuge in a small pub to escape the oppressive heat. Before he could even finish wiping his brow, the bartender handed him a glistening glass of ale. The Traveler took a liking to the invigorating lemon shandy concoction. “Quite a refresher!” he said gratefully. The Traveler has never stopped exploring – in fact, he’s on the road this very day. Somewhere. Only one thing has changed: he now makes sure he orders a shandy everywhere he goes.

Draft... Murky yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is a pleasant reproduction of lemon meringue pie. Light to medium-bodied with busy carbonation. Lots of lemon meringue in the flavor, but far too sweet. Finishes crisp and lemony, but again, way too sweet. This is lemon soda. I was hoping for more acidity.

Tastes like a Hefeweizen with the lemons already squeezed in. Hazy straw color, lasting thin white head.

On draft at The Brass Tap, pours a dark golden color, aromas of some malt, lemon and limes. Flavors are the same, classic pilsner taste upfront with citrus in the back.

Pour is a yellow color, not gold at all. Heavy nose of lemon, very much smelly like lemonade. Tastes like a wheat beer or lager mixed with lemonade, but palate is far better. The mixing of lemon and beer tastes odd to me so I don’t like shandys, but this was nice on a summer day.

Draft. Not a beer or taste I’m really well versed with. Strong lemon scent, sweet lemon, like when your mom put extra sugar in the lemonade. Hazy yellow appearance similar to a wheat beer only a little lighter shade. Light palate with a crisp finish. Big sweet lemon taste up front, very similar to Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, only with a more potent consistency, a better quality lemon taste. Wheat traits in the middle. Finished with a slightly bitter note.

Tap at Haskells in Excelsior, MN. Hazy bright yellow pour with a small white head. Lemon lime nose. Light carbonated mouthfeel. Taste is a refreshing lemon. Good summer brew.

On tap at the Beacon hotel bar in DC. Pours a cloudy yellow with minimal lacing and a nice aroma of citrus. Taste is of lemon and lime and no spice. Brewed by the founder of Magic Hat it has a very circus boy taste to it albeit watered down with the same type of MH finish on the palate.
