COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Driven by wanderlust and a desire for discovery, the Curious Traveler™ set out to explore the globe. Always fearlessly inquisitive, he relished opportunities to befriend other travelers and to experience cultures he had only previously imagined. He sampled their wares, their foods and most importantly their libations. Some were good. Some not so good. Others were downright dangerous. Many years into his travels, his pace slowed on a particularly sweltering day. He sought refuge in a small pub to escape the oppressive heat. Before he could even finish wiping his brow, the bartender handed him a glistening glass of ale. The Traveler took a liking to the invigorating lemon shandy concoction. “Quite a refresher!” he said gratefully. The Traveler has never stopped exploring – in fact, he’s on the road this very day. Somewhere. Only one thing has changed: he now makes sure he orders a shandy everywhere he goes.

Bottle. Nose is lemon; nice and pungent, without any candied overtone. Pours a relatively unremarkable flat brown-gold with very little head. On the tongue, it’s lemon, wheat, and a nice pithy bitterness; it’s more impressive as to what it’s not. It’s not candied, it’s not saccharine, it’s not gross. It’s refreshing and tasty. It won’t solve the world’s problems, but it’s a good shandy.

Draft @ GAT Beer, NE Philadelphia. Poured hazy golden color with a small, thin white head. Aroma of lemon with a touch of yeast. Body was light, with a brief finish. Lemonade-like flavor, with a touch of a biscuit note beneath.

Bottle sampled at a beer share -- This reminds me so very much of what I remember Mikes Hard Lemonade tasting like.

Pour on tap, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of lemonade, sugar, some slight white fruit, touch of yeast and bready notes. Taste is a mix of lemon, lemonade, sugary lemon candies into a bit of yeast, bread, finishing fairly sweet.

THOUGHTS: Nice and refreshing. Strong lemonade flavors and aroma, but the beer part was still present. Decent balance between sweet and acidic. Great lawnmower beer. TECHNICAL: Drank 4/21/2013. Bottle. Poured a muddy, dark yellow to medium orange with an average to large, fairly white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had, maybe, some light pale malts; very light doughy yeast; but MOSTLY lemonade and lemon rind. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately acidic; while the finish was moderately sweet and heavily acidic. There was lemonade, lemon, lemon peel, yeast and maybe a little pale malt. The light to medium body was a little watery and then dry with very fizzy carbonation and a dry finish.
