I really enjoyed this treat that my wife brought back from Peru. It is refreshing and simple, perfect for the tropical heat of Panama. Less complexy and esery than true German hefes, but light, and grassy and truly refreshing. Not cloying, not full, I drank the whole 660 ml before the bottle got cold in near 90 degree tropical heat. Perhaps made for a mass market, but quite drinkable. I wish that I had more.

Drunk this a few times in Peru, Solid local Hefe/Wheat if you don't compare to NA standards. Definitely tastes of bubble gum and sweet clove spice

Bottle in Lima. Small foam, hazy indistinct yellow-orange. Sweet-edged malt, indistinct sweet wheat. A touch creamy, but it is on the quite mild end of wheat ales, particularly in the macro realm. A little corn, finishes modestly sweet and grainy. Not spectacular.

Bottle in peru with samadueche. Typical wheat appearance, leaning more yellow than orange, full white head. Smells as expected, but maybe slightly muted. Flavor is wheat, with some citrus and banana. Better than the standard Cusquena, but probably a bottom half wheat beer. Still, better than I expected.

Minnesota Trip Beer #141. Bottle shared by JK 5/10/16. Hazy yellow, medium white head, decent retention. Aroma of biscuity wheat and a bit of citrus. The taste is wheat, citrus. Thin.

Bottle I pir5chased in Cusco, April 2016. Light haze to this beer. Very light aroma and flavor, a little wheat. Very light.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of stale wheat with a bit of sweetness and some underlying bread notes. Flavor is similar with sweet stale wheat with some underlying earthy grain

Bottle thanks to JK. Hazy deep gold pour with a small head. Nose is of banana and honey. Some cardboard and knackered grain. Similar flavor. Cardboard, sugar, and some banana. A bit soupy. Moderate carbonation. Not great.

33cl bottle pours a clear dark gold/orange with some ringing, white head. Nose is a touch trashy, cheap orange juice, some esters, clove, banana, wheat chaff. Not overly pleasant. Flavor is chewy with straw and wheat, yeast, mild spice, some chewed bubblegum. Messy on the finish. Not real good.

500ml bottle-tight foamy white-yellow. A-bready-lt malt. T-sweet wheat/lt malt.
