3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Light gold color, very cloudy. Aroma is fruity, banana and clove. A medium bodied hefe. Malts are fruity and sweet. Some banana and clove flavors, with a hint of citrus as well. Clean and crisp. Light and refreshing. A very nice summer beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth.
Part of a tasting at the NY culinary place in Canandaigua. This was really bad. Sorry, it was. Pure banana and clove; I almost couldn’t finish the taster. Just not for me. coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - APR 29, 2013
A reserved tasting at TAP NY. As I was consuming some perogies from a short distance away from the tapping station, I was taken aback by the seemingly endless line of schmucks that just threw the brew back in one gulp and walked on. The brewer looked like he was in a daze. I suppose this is pretty common. I was one of those schmucks once, trying for max volume consumed in the time alloted. There was a nice lull, so I walked up to the table and said I wanted a light to heavy tasting. It started with this solidly presented hefe. light lemon and yeast start to finish. It was not the greatest in the world, but still remains a German class brew. I hope to find it in bottles for summer project consumption. redpooba (406) - Texas, USA - MAR 6, 2013
A light-yellow with a frothy white head. The aromas are simple wheat, the body is light and lemon like, and the finish is clean and wheaty. Nothing special. blipp (9284) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours gold with a thin white head. Spicy and light fruity aroma with some lighter toasty malts. The flavor has spicy yeast, almost anise-like, with some fruity sweetness and toasted malts. Decent.
