3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from the brewery. Pours brown with ruby highlights. The thin ivory head quickly disapates. Sour candy aroma. Raisin, fig, plum, and malt notes with a hint of vinegar. Very nice sour.
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a head of finely sized tan colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light cola brown colored body. The mild aroma was brown malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The dry flavor contained notes of sour brown malt. An OK brew just nothing special. Hazy, red-brown with a light beige head.
Dusty, caramel, fruit scent.
Cherry, caramel, nutty taste.
Ok, but not a standout. Itzjerm (2866) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - SEP 9, 2014
The right amount of sour for a non sour drinker. Sweet reminds of sour apple with a sweetness. Nice fading head. No Aroma. A bit thin on tongue. Sample from brewery. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Taster at Upland Sourfest. Hazy brown / red color. Thin bubbly off-white head. Couple loose bits of lace. Some dark fruit, light caramel. Medium plus body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. A little thin for the style. Moderate sour taste. Moderate sweet. Dry finish. OK, but thin sour brown, with an odd lightly metallic twang to it. olr1984 (1500) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 21, 2014

Draft to taster. Looks good; a hazy amberish brown with light beige lacing. Smells solid; sweet, sour, and malty. Tastes like it smells, but far less robust. Average on the palate. Started better than it finished. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 15, 2014
tap at Ft Wayne Oktobeerfest 2013 - Pours dark amber-brown with no head. It has a sour aroma with a little caramel. Sweet toasted caramel malt is complemented by obvious but not especially strong sour notes. There’s a decent balance between the two, though there’s something underwhelming about the whole thing. shrubber85 (11397) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Draft. Lactic cherry and toffee malt aroma. Chestnut brown with minimal head. Sweet-tart cherry and malt flavor. Nicely balanced. Very good. ESBob (379) - Indiana, USA - JUL 13, 2013
Growler.....courtesy of Jethro6191. Pours a brown with ruby highlights. Aroma is a slightly soured fruit and light malt...taste is a raisin with slight vinegar note. Nice sour!
