So rabid are we about roundball that in 1925 Mr. Naismith himself declared Indiana the center of the sport. Needing only five starters, the game was tailor made for the towns that dot Indiana and just one or two great players could take any school to the state finals and immortality.

Half Court is out celebration of basketball fever and the sweat it takes for success. A noble example of an India Pale Ale, this beer pours with a thick white head and hits you directly with the scent of hops and citrus. Be forewarned, were just as hysterical about hops as we are hoops.

A very standard IPA, not bad at all but not really standing out in any way. I guess this is the IPA to get if you support Hoosier basketball.

Pours a hazy orange color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, earthy hops and caramel malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Average overall.

Aroma of soapy hops, lime citrus, and honey dew melons. Taste is lime, soapy hops, honeydew & cantaloupe melons, with some crackery malts to carry it through. Ill give it this, it holds up pretty well for being in my fridge for well over a year.

Pours a cloudy amber orange color with a very think and frothy cream colored head. The aroma is a light citrus and hop smell. Has a very strong citrus and hop taste and leave a bitter and dry aftertaste, a bit overpowering. Dont recommend this beer unless this is your type.

Rated on 12-14-2013 (Bottle from Krogers Marketplace-Fort Wayne, IN) This beer forms a small smooth off-white head that mostly diminishes, golden transparent body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is citrus, orange, grapefruit, and lightly earthy. The flavor is very bitter, citrus, earthy, grapefruit, and light malt. The mouthfeel of this beer is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is very biter tasting which is too much for my liking. It is a hop head beer.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is equal parts citrus hop and sweet caramel malt. Flavor is mostly malty. Large caramel malt presence but way low on hop bitterness. Hops can be barley detected after some swallows. This was not a real high octane IPA. way to much malt presence and where are the hops?

Finhead (1731) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2014
Cloudy, orange pour with a small, white head and a lot of floaties. The aroma has some orange juice along with grapefruit. It has a medium body with average carbonation and a bitter taste.

Very bitter IPA with no aroma. Malty with the bitterness but not balanced in anyway. Nice fading head. Sample from brewery.
