Years ago whistles pierced the air and the ground literally shook from the power steam. The Monon Railroad helped propel Indiana’s economy from 1897-1956 and earned its name from the convergence of its four main routes in Monon, Indiana. From Monon, the mainlines reached Chigago, Louisville, Indianapolis, Michigan City and most towns in between. Our refreshing Belgian style Wit beer is powered by the memories of the Monon and brewed with lemon peel, orange peel, and coriander for a crisp, tart finish. For an extremely refreshing and drinkable beer, hard working cutters say "All Aboard!" the Monon.

Bottle. Musty lemon malt and coriander aroma. Hazy golden yellow color with nice white head and moderate effervescence. Lightly sweet lemon malt and mild musty flavor. Body on the light side. Very nice. As a cutter (at least by reputation but not occupation), I was happy that this was so good.

12oz bottle, from Crown Liquors in downtown Indianapolis. Shared with b3shine. Mildly hazy golden color. Little white head. Couple dots of lace. Pretty nice citrusy peel nose. Perfect amount of spice and zest, very tasty. Moderate sweet taste, medium body. Smooth, very light carbonation. Lightly slick. Really easy-drinking. Much better than expected, I’m glad it turned out to be a witbier, I was expecting something more boring from the plain old "wheat" descriptor.

Bottle to snifter (shared by DrSilverworm). Looks decent; a very slightly hazy light gold with white lacing. Smells of wheat, spices, and mild hops. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Some light floral notes too. Not bad.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of queenholly. Weizen glass displays a lightly cloundy yellow color with just the tiniest ring of white head. No lace. This brew has a nice citrus aroma filled with orange and lemon along with a trace of coriander. The flavor is spot on the aromas with the flavor being rather pleasant. Palate is light and crisp with a dry texture. Overall, this is pleasant and real easy to drink. A bit above average, I would recommend to any Wit beer lovers who live in Indiana.

Strykzone (7893) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Sampled at esbls. A wheat aroma with oranges. Fruit in the flavor is more bitter like zest. Orange and lemon. This is kind of a fruit zest drink.

wlajwl (7356) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - DEC 28, 2014
Aroma is spices/strong lemon peel/coriander, wheat and light fruit. The flavor is lemon/lemon peel, wheat, spices, citrus and a tart finish.

Patrickctenchi (6862) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 28, 2012
Pours hazy lemon gold, with tall, pillowy, slightly off-white head. Scent is mildly wheaty, some lemon, spice....just a faint bit of farmhouse funk....Taste is a pleasant lemon malt, grain.....tickle of coriander. Very soft, mildly sweet. A very, very nice beer.

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a head of foamy finely sized bright white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated semi-hazy yellow orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was floral and wheat. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow malty aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of wheat and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

hayduke (5757) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 30, 2014
Poured cloudy orange . . Nose of wheat and orange. Medium in body. Flavor is citrus and wheat. Lotos of citrus in the finish and some spice OK
