Growler from the brewery. The aroma is very faint. I had to swirl the glass and cup my hands over the mouth to pick up faint malt and citrus aromas. The color is a cloudy deep cooper with a thin ivory head. The flavor is spicy with a resinous hop bitterness and rye notes. The mouthfeel is smooth but a bit thin. The finish is bitter with a lingering aftertaste.

Draft to taster at Union. Looks solid; a fairly transparent lightly burnt orange with thin white lacing. Smells and tastes of hops and caramel with a bit of rye spice. Medium-full bodied. Not bad, but stickier than I prefer.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; malty though. A fairly transparent orangish brown with foamy off-white head that slowly dissipates into sticky lacing. Smells malty with notes of rye spic and mild hops. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Good, but could definitely use more hops.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big rye, caramel, toffee, hints of oak, touch of bourbon, slight red fruit. Taste is a mix of bourbon, rye, hints of oak, earth, some orange, grapefruit, touch of earthy tones, slight yeast, finishing dry, slightly boozy.

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a head of finely sized white colored bubbles that were fully diminished and left behind a uncarbonated transparent dark golden orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was malt hop and mild vinous. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mildly vinous candy and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Very sweet DIPA, the rye is to balance hop, but they need more hops it appears to me. Not balanced in a different way as compared to the IPA. Thin fading head. No Aroma. Seems these guys are trying to go the cheaper path... the beer is suffering.

Draft @ Brewhaven. Light caramel malt aroma. Hazy amber with a moderate off-white head. Fruity caramel malt and astringent flavor. Light body, soft carbonation. I didnít get any real rye or IPA character from this one, it was just rather bland.

Draft: Clear brown with a small beige head. Rye...caramel malt aroma. Citrusy, spiced rye, caramel malt taste. Surprisingly mild. Pretty good.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2014 Draft. Sweet orange, berry, and rye malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange, rye malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Nice balance of sweetness and hops.
