A 750ml bottle with a best before date of 28th May 2020. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a nice clear copper orange colour with a just over one finger light beige head that dissipated fairly quickly and left some spotty lacing. Aromas were tart, oak, white wine, apple, herbal and funky. Tastes tart, but only mildly sour, red apple, lime, cork, oak, funk and maybe hay with only a hint of a herbal element and vinegar. Acidic, medium to light bodied with good moderate carbonation. Overall, a nice and balanced blend of a sour ale and Lambic. Draught. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is tangerine, hay, funk, pear, and wood. Taste is tart; tangerine, nectarine, some funk, pear, hay, pepper, some hoppiness, and very light earth. Medium body. Moderate, tight carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. The aroma is the best part of the beer.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2017 Clear caramel-amber body with a thin but lasting white head. Funk, stone fruit, lemon and a vinegary sourness in the nose. Taste is brightly sour up front, but lots of peach and plum follow it up. Bit of pepper in there too. Clean finish with a spicy aftertaste. A pretty awesome sour beer. 3 finger eggshell head, amber body. Nose: Barnyard, hay, vinegar, funk-notes, aged cheese, yeast and green apples. Taste: Aged cheese-notes, yeast, vinegar, funk-notes, green apples, white bread, hay, grassy notes and hint of cider and champagne.

Interesting stuff - red fruits, funk and light acetic notes. Complex red fruit and vinous notes with some residual sweetness and tart finish.
