UPDATED: APR 19, 2017 Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pours cloudy amber. Aroma is sweet prune, cherry, candy, sour barrels. Body is medium, quite tart and lightly sour, lively carbonation, quite some wood flavours towards the palate. That one is sour and lingering on stone fruit. Good! Robe dorée, fine mousse. Nez puissant et complexe sur des notes sauvages, animales, des céréales, des fruits acidulés, une pointe balsamique, des levures. 75cl bottle, 3 year aged (2014). Pours a hazy amber, good off-white head. Aroma of soft funky fruity flora. Taste is perfectly crisp and well balanced with a sharp, tart lambic character and a zingy tang that lingers long on the finish. Soft fruity shades, prickly grapefruit and fresh summer meadow straw all contribute to layered fruity sour notes emerging from sharp lambic funk. Very very good. Pour a deep copper with a foamy white head.
Aroma is lovely of country grass, orange zest, tangerine, slight horse blanket, slight green apples, ever so slight barnyard.
Taste is mildly Sour, and very well balanced.
Semi watery body with with a slightly fizzling but still mellow carbonation. I like this.

Pours a cloudy bright golden orange with a thin film of white foam. Nose has bitter apricots, orangepeel, leather and mineral flinty notes. Very good. Even some sweet flowery or even pastry notes. Crisp and clean on the palate with mostly light brett, yeasty notes, and light apricots again. Turning mineral in the aftertaste. Must say that I kinda love this right now way more than when I tried it mutiple years ago. This is great stuff, not gueuze but not far off Sainte Adairius stuff.. liking this big time. Aroma is lightly sour with lemons and light green apple. There’s also a somewhat funky aura with wooden notes and old cellar. Taste is a mix from sour apples and lemon that is carried by a lower, sweeter malt base that has a touch of overripe autumn pears. I’d say that the blend is pretty much perfect as there’s no clash between the sweet/sour notes. There’s also some minerals in here which adds another layer and you just have to bow down for the craftmanship in here. Tart in the finish with a balanced bitterness.
