My bottle [750ml] shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel. Pours a murky orange-peach with an average size diminishing white head. De Ranke... (non smetterò mai di dirlo!!) è un grandissimo birrificio. Aroma classico acidulo e a tratti acetico, caratterizzato comunque da una gradevole freschezza ( differente per intenderci dall’odore di sudore di cane delle Cantillon). Al palato si rinnova l’acidità e la nota acetica. Gusto tipo mele acerbe di montagna con un finale secco e pulito. Mediamente carbonata. Grande " birra " acida.

World class sour ale with exotic lambic infusions: dry, with overwhelming grapefruit and citrus zest tartness upfront. Full taste with a well-balanced sourness-bitterness and some malty sweetness to back that up. Cloudy appearance, nice full & fuzzy mouthfeel. Initially tried this along with grilled porkchops, but the beer soon demanded center stage on the taste buds. Great for aperitif or with dessert - sumptiously unsuited as meal accompaniment! A - dark golden color. 1 finger tight bubbles but not creamy. White. Beer is SRM of 9. Cloudy and hazy.
S - acidic vinegar Scent. Not crazy. Mild vinegar. Pine and apples. Slight bread scent and orange zest. Almonds? Maybe. Pineapple.
T - Wow. Huge tropical fruits. Raspberries and pineapples. Apple? Maybe. Pears and slight vinegar. Mild vinegar. Green grapes. Funk from the barnyard. Mild mustiness
M - 80% carbonation. Medium body for a geuze. Insanely green grape skin finish. So freaking dry and tart.
O - 94/100. It’s so damn tasty. No idea the vintage. No idea the origin or how well it was cellared. It’s great but idk. I’d love to have this every day. But. It’s standard. I mean it’s great but it’s so drinkable but my taste buds aren’t exploding. It’s great but standard. Hard to explain.

Funky, spicy aroma, brett, malt, citrus, hay, horse, earth, wood.
Dry, medium body, low bitterness, lively CO2.
Complex, funky taste, citrus, a marked acidity, earth, straw, spicy.

Bottle @ DØE meeting. Pours hazy light orange with a small white head. Aroma is nicely balanced sour with lemon, oak, barnyard, brett, little dusty. 75cl bottle tasting with Wim and Yves. Darker blond coloured beer with some slight hazy touches. Almost no carbonation and a small white head. Rather special, sour earthy and grainy hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is sour bitter balanced with again some grainy sour hints. Nice alternative brew.
