VTHopHead (1511) - Seymour, Tennessee, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Bottle/750ml - Pours a clear golden amber in color with a small white head that quickly settled to a thin covering over the top of the beer. Aroma is slightly sweet with estery light fruits (apple, grape), some banana(?) and some citrus. Flavor is yeasty with a hint of citrus, light fruits and a slightly sour finish. Not an excellent example of a Belgian, but enjoyable/drinkable...

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 33cl bottle. Pours a clear golden with a small head. Nose : Fruity alcohol notes ; cherry, citrus and some white grapes. Yeast. Leather ? Sip : Fine carbonation and a very delicate body. Sweet honey. Very floral. Nutty. Still something familiar I can’t find name for ... There is this white wine like notes. Very little malt and bitter hops feeling in aftertaste. Sour takes lead. Overall : It’s a good beer. Like Ciney I enjoy this beer often drinking from bottle because of the low carbonation that doesn’t get foamy after a sip. It has a more complex taste then Ciney.

250 ml bottle. Cloudy golden color, white head. Spicy aroma with some citric notes. Some alcohol in the flavor along with bready malts, sugar and lemon zest. Lingering malty finish. Medium-full body, very high carbonation. Better than I expected based on the label.

25cl bottle. Pours cloudy blonde with nice white head. Aroma: immediately sweet, ,mostly sugar with some fruit (peach?) too, (as if sugars had not fermented?). A bit funky. Nice foamy mouthfeel. Sweet taste with some maltiness for depth, slight hop. Reminds me a bit of Dogfish Head Festina Peche (though that was far more sour). Overall: an enjoyable sweet blonde.

A solid golden ale. Clear with a summery golden hue. Decent foam and a slightly underwhelming taste featuring caramel and citrus. Tried this for the first time in Antwerp with Paul Troost in July, 2010.
