Bottle thanks to Homer! Pours opaque black, small brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is whiskey forward, mocha, vanilla, oak, coconut, chocolate. Flavor is big time sweet, light bitter. Full body, soft silky mouthfeel. Yeah, pastry stout. But it works. _angst_ (5009) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 23, 2017
Keg @ Mikkeller & Friends. Viscous black pour with a thin mocha head. Savoury roasty nose with plenty of barrel. Sweet & rich. Very much a cycle stout. Tasty! haukur (2112) - Kópavogur, ICELAND - SEP 1, 2017

Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, toasted - roasted, chocolate, dark malt, dates - figs, alcohol - whisky. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, figs - dates, alcohol - whisky. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very nice sipper ;O)
Bottle thanks to William. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong whiskey, licorice, wood, roast. Medium body, dark chocolate, spice, wood, licorice, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

From notes. Enjoyed at a share at Mike Harler’s house on June 24. 22 oz bottle. The pour is a darker brown with a smaller tan head that lasts and lasts with a few spots of good lacing. The aroma is big on the whiskey barrel right up front. There is a decent caramel and a light roasted malt. The dark fruits come rolling in and make this hard to discern what kind of style this is. The alcohol is big on the finish. The flavor is similar. The dark fruits and sweet caramel are nice and then the oak, maltiness, and strong whiskey influence come through late. The mouth feel is medium bodied with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly boozy and oaky finish. This is an interesting beer for sure. 7 4 7 4 15 alexsdad06 (10947) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUN 17, 2017
22 oz bottle via trade shared with Tmoney99 and the Nine Giant crew. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head that settled into a ring. The aroma and flavor have bigger dark fruits, molasses, sweet but without being cloying, background chocolate and caramel, whiskey, hints of wood, some viscosity, good mouthfeel. Taste is sweet upfront with the whisky leading the way. Roasted malts, dried dark fruits, coffee and slightly smoked oak wood follow. Moderately warming boozy finish. Sticky, syrupy and thick mouthfeel. Low carbonation. DSG (15301) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 29, 2017
