Black with a minimal brown head. Aroma is malty and roasted with sweet notes of caramel, milk chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate, toasted coconut and spicy peppery rye notes and oak. Taste is intense, sweet, malty and light warming. Finish is sweet malty with caramel, toffee, vanilla, bitter dark chocolate, some coffee notes, spicy peppery notes, some wood notes and warming bourbon. Full bodied, oily, soft carbonation.
Crowler... This beer rocks!… Pours murky and black with no head. Smells great – a chocolate bomb; featuring a decadent mélange of fudge, chocolate chips and chocolate crème flanked by lesser notes of leather, vanilla and coconut. Full-bodied and silky with minimal carbonation. The flavor offers a collage of chocolate crème and brownie brittle with nuances of vanilla and caramel. Lightly roasty and faintly sweet in the fatty, velvety finish. Kudos to landhoney for supplying this world class bottle of beer! markextrae (4460) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2016
crowler shared by a friend during our tasting. still a lot of carbonation after these months. poured an oily black colour with a big dark beige head on top. nose of sweet dark roasted malts, rye spices heat, clean sweet bourbon barrel notes, charred, dark fruits, dark bitter chocolate, chocolate fudge and molasses. taste is thick and viscious. clear spiced rye upfront. perfect amount of bourbon, sweet vanilla oak, very thick mouthfeel. one of the better cycle bourbon stouts without any adjuncts. very glad i had the chance to try this one. lovely djd07 (15342) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 16, 2016
Crowler thanks to Brian. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, cocoa, rye, bourbon, wood. Thick mouth, chewy, roast, bourbon, vanilla, rye, chocolate, very nice. 77ships (10810) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 9, 2016
Much thanks to Kraddel! Crowler sampled. Yay my first crowler. Beer is in an amazing condition considering that there are a few months on this crowler. I think that it would a smidgeon better if it were in a bottle but it still tastes really amazing. Pours black, head is instantly gone. Nose is massive thick syrup, warming, vanilla, mocha, thick warming bourbon syrup, sugar,… Taste is gorgeous thick syrup, sweet sugar, warming, chocolate syrup, massively thick & sludgy in the best way, chocolate sugar, finish carries lingering vanilla & sweet vanilla bourbon. Amazingly thick & syrupy. When Cycle is good, they are really good. Chugged the bottom of the crowler, not recommended, it is warming when you sip but when you chug it really starts tasting massively alcoholic.
