Crowler. Poured a dark black with a thing sudsy off white head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Flavor followed the nose with light hints of vanilla as well. Medium body, touch thin, still perfectly carbed, and a pretty smooth finish. cgarvieuk (25992) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 14, 2016

On tap at Cycle Brewing. Dark brown pour with an off white head. Roasted malt aromas. Dark roasted malts and baker’s chocolate notes dominate. Some bitterness from the malts. Above average body and mouthfeel. tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Sample pour of darkness with a thing off white head. Roasted malts and sweetness on the nose. Flavors are smooth roasted malts, light toasty, sweet, almost marshmallow quality. Really enjoyable and fairly robust compared to many of Peg’s offerings well done

Draft… Pours pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Excellent retention. The aroma is roasty and presents a boatload of dark chocolate. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and medium carbonation. The flavor leans sweet, but provides lots of deeply roasted malt and dark, burnt mocha. Finishes charred and bittersweet. adam42381 (627) - Fort Myers, Florida, USA - SEP 15, 2011
Review from notes at Peg’s Cantina on 9/10/11.
Draft poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: Poured a cola brown with a 1 finger dark tan head. Decent lacing.
Smell: Chocolate and roasted malt. A little subdued.
Taste: Milk chocolate with roasted malt up front followed by coffee in the middle before ending with a toasty finish. Aftertaste is mildly bitter.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and creamy with a decent amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Good drinkability. Goes down smooth.
Overall: Very good beer overall. Another solid offering from Peg’s Cantina. Give it a try if you get the chance.
