8% rye ipa super heavy hard rough hops. Very dangerous. Pretty good rye flavor but much too violent for me.

32 oz Crowler from the brewery filled yesterday. Amber hazy color with lasting head. Aroma is spicy rye bread with a tiny bit of grassiness. Toasted grain body with mild subtle fruit and a solid amount of rye bread holding the brew together. Body is on the medium plus side with a lingering dry bitterness that hangs around after the sip for a good duration. Spicy.

Enjoyed at the Cycle brewery stop of the rbwg2015 bus tour. Poured up on tap where it exhibits an opaque copper body that supports a light tan head that leaves behind some sheet lacing. The modest aroma offers up candied grapefruit with bits of tangelo and mango at the edges. The taste delivers bitter grapefruit and some resiny pine and then flowing into a bit of maltiness. Towards the finish a pleasing spicy onion note weakly comes to the surface amid all of the bitterness to help summon up a sense of balance.
